Salute Our Fallen Veterans at the City Of Troy Memorial Day Observance
 
 
 
(TROY, MI) – Take a few moments to honor and remember all the men and women who gave their lives for our country.  The City of Troy hosts its annual Memorial Day Ceremony on Monday, May 29 at 11 am at Veterans Memorial Plaza in front of Troy City Hall (500 W. Big Beaver Road).
 
Memorial Day is the day we pause to give thanks to the people who died.  On this Memorial Day, we honor the generations of Americans who have fought and died to defend our freedom. Join others to honor fallen men and women who served our country to ensure our freedom with memorializing speeches, music and reflection.  Petty Officer Second Class Rocco Ottolino, USN will be the keynote speaker. He is currently Senior Healthcare Equipment Planner for the Beaumont Health System
 
The ceremony will also include music from the Heritage Concert Band of Troy, raising of the colors by the Troy Police Department Honor Guard, and the laying of a Memorial Wreath.

6/3/2017 9:00 AM Community Garage Sale and Flea Market
Clean out your closets, garage and basement, and turn your discards into cash at the annual Troy Community Garage Sale and Flea Market at the Liberty Center Garage on Saturday, June 3 from 9:30 am – 3 pm. Flea Market Vendors are also welcome. The $20 registration fee ($25/NR) gives you two parking spaces in the garage. Restrooms will be onsite. More than 100 vendors and 1200 shoppers are expected to attend.
 
Register based on the time you want to unload:  7:30-8 am Act. 8061A; 8-8:30 am Act. 8061B; 8:30-9 am Act.8061C. 
 
Shopper’s admission fee of $2 per person (children under 12 free). Space is Limited. Concessions will be available throughout the day. Proceeds benefit the Troy Senior Program.
