City Council Meetings

Regular City Council Meetings

The City of Troy Charter mandates that the City Council hold at least two regular meetings each month. Regular City Council meetings take place at 7:30 PM in the Council Chambers of Troy City Hall, located at 500 W. Big Beaver and are open to the public.

Regular meetings occur for the purpose of transacting City business and provide an opportunity for the public to address City Council members. Audience members may sign up in advance to speak at City Council meetings using the AVIS kiosk outside of Council Chambers, and may speak for 3 minutes.

Special City Council Meetings

Special meetings are scheduled on an as-needed basis for the purpose of discussion of specific, predetermined topics, and like regular meetings, are open to the public.

City Council meetings are televised live on the government channel WTRY (channel 10 if you have WideOpen West and channel 17 if you have Comcast). Meetings are replayed on Wednesdays at 10 AM, Thursdays at 7 PM and Saturdays and Sundays at 4 PM and 10 PM.

Meeting times and locations may be confirmed through the City Clerk's Office by calling 248.524.3316, or by checking the schedule above.
